How to Order an iSwim Semi-Custom Style

Follow the steps below to complete your iSwim semi-custom order, from selecting a style and size to entering product notes.

Before Ordering: Understanding iSwim Semi-Custom Options

iSwim semi-custom service allows you to adjust the fabric color, pouch, back piece, wearing height, or make minor size adjustments within an existing product pattern and the available options. You do not need to design a product from scratch, and this service does not include converting products from other brands into iSwim styles.

The available adjustments vary by product. Please refer to the options shown on each product page and the relevant customization guides. If you would like the standard style and color combination shown on the product page, simply select your size and add the item to your cart. No additional semi-custom instructions are required.

How to Order an iSwim Semi-Custom Style

  1. Choose a Product You Like

Start by selecting the underwear or swimwear style you prefer. Product photos show the default style, fabric, and color combination. Some products also offer alternative pouches, back pieces, fabrics, or colors.

  2. Select the Right Size

Choose your size based on your usual underwear size, waist measurement, height, and weight. Sizing may vary between brands, so we recommend following the iSwim size guide.

If you are between two sizes, or have previously experienced issues with the waist, pouch space, or wearing height, please review the size guide and minor semi-custom adjustment instructions before ordering.

  3. Select the Available Style and Color Options

Choose the fabric color, pouch, back piece, or other available options shown on the product page. Not every product can be combined with every option. What can be produced depends on the product pattern, fabric, and construction.

If you are unsure what an option code means, please refer to the “Product Code Guide” and “Customization Options” pages.

  4. Select Any Minor Size Adjustments

Some fit issues can be improved without changing to a completely different size. Minor adjustments can help create a better balance, such as adding a little more room at the waist or pouch.

    Common note formats include:

    • Waist +1cm ×2: Add 1 cm to each side of the waist.
    • Pouch +1cm ×2: Add 1 cm to each side of the pouch.

Minor adjustments do not create an entirely new pattern. Excessive changes may affect the original proportions, fit, and appearance of the product.

  5. Enter the Adjustment in the Product Note

When requesting a semi-custom adjustment, enter the details in the note field for the corresponding product. This ensures that each adjustment can be matched clearly with the correct item.

For example, if your order contains several different products, the notes may be entered as follows:

    u3006: Waist +1cm ×2
    u3018: Pouch +1cm ×2
    u1009: Back Change: Y1

Please avoid vague instructions such as “make it a little larger,” “make the front deeper,” or “same as last time,” as these do not provide a clear adjustment amount.

  6. Add the Product to Your Cart and Check the Details

After adding the product to your cart, check the product code, size, color, style options, and product note. If your order contains several items, make sure each note is matched with the correct product.

  7. Complete Your Order and Payment

Confirm your delivery details, shipping method, and payment method, then complete your order. If any customization details require clarification, we will contact you through the order message system or the contact information you provided.

Please do not place duplicate orders before the adjustment details have been confirmed, as notes from separate orders may become difficult to match correctly.

  8. Production Begins After Confirmation

Semi-custom products are cut and made only after the order and adjustment details have been confirmed. Production time varies depending on the customization, number of items, and current production schedule. Please refer to the “Order Production Schedule” page.

What Can Be Adjusted?

Depending on the product pattern and the options available on the product page, semi-custom adjustments may include:

  • Changing to an available fabric or color.
  • Changing to a compatible pouch or back piece within the same series.
  • Adjusting the back-piece height or selected cutting details.
  • Adding or reducing a small amount of waist space.
  • Adding a small amount of pouch space.
  • Selecting available decorative stitching, ruching, or other customization options.

Some adjustments may require an additional charge. Options already listed as free on the product page will remain free as indicated.

What Is Not Included in Semi-Custom Service?

  • Reproducing another brand’s style from a photo, or modifying a finished product from another brand.
  • Changing an existing iSwim product into a completely different pattern or construction.
  • Adjustments beyond the existing pattern and compatible options, or changes that may affect fit, durability, or product structure.

iSwim semi-custom service provides additional choices and minor adjustments within existing patterns and available options. It does not include creating an entirely new pattern or altering products made by other brands.

Before You Order

  • Semi-custom products are cut and made only after the order has been confirmed.
  • Once the customization details have been confirmed and cutting has started, further changes may not be possible.
  • Fabric stretch, thickness, and extensibility vary. Even with the same size or adjustment amount, the fit may feel slightly different between fabrics.
  • Semi-custom and made-to-order products cannot be returned or exchanged unless there is a manufacturing defect.
  • If you are unsure which adjustment is suitable, you may provide your height, weight, usual size, and the fit issue you would like to improve before ordering or in the order notes.
