Redesigned — Enhancing Your Sexy Confidence

Redesigned, Starting with Fit and Comfort

To achieve the best balance between fit and everyday comfort, iSwim began a series of pattern refinements in 2016. After a full year of adjustment and wear testing, the new back-piece cut was officially introduced in 2017. This pattern was finalized on June 1, 2021, and has since been applied to most iSwim underwear and swimwear styles.

The highlights of this revision include:

  • Adjusted hip-line and waistline proportions for a closer, more natural fit.
  • A slightly narrower upper hip curve to reduce downward pressure and help minimize shifting and tightness during long-term wear.
  • Improved coverage stability, offering better support for wearers with fuller or more lifted buttocks.
  • Even though this increases production time and material cost, we continue to use this structure to deliver real comfort, stability, and sexy confidence in every piece.

This pattern evolution comes from our deep attention to the wearing experience, supported by more than 6,000 pieces of real wear verification. Because we believe sexiness is not about pleasing others — it begins the moment you put it on and feel that you deserve better.

CodeDescription
F Triangle / B Bikini BriefSlight inward adjustment at the upper buttock curve to reduce downward pressure. Ideal for softer buttocks. Helps reduce shifting when sitting. For ultra-low-rise styles, avoid pulling the waistband too high.
J Jock / Open-Back LiftSlight inward contouring at the upper curve, with added softness around the upper waistband. Double-strap thongs wear more stably and comfortably.
H Half-Back / A TangaOptimized buttock and waist curves for better support and a sexier fit.
C Cheeky ThongBrazilian thong. The upper triangle tapers inward for a flatter, more form-fitting base, helping reduce fabric bunching.
T T-Back ThongNarrower center line for a closer, softer fit. Helps reduce digging while enhancing sexiness.

N 1/3 BackMini half-back. Slightly reduced buttock curve, improving stability and enhancing fit.
Y Y-ThongY-shaped thong. Adjusted cut angle with an even smaller upper triangle.

The Secret Behind the Low Waist That Stays in Place

In iSwim’s major pattern revisions in 2017 and 2021, the overall look remained almost unchanged — but beneath the surface, the structure evolved completely.

We recalculated the balance between the hip curve and leg openings, giving each piece a wider leg curve and a steadier seat line. This change is not simply about making the fit tighter; it allows the fabric and body to create a natural supporting tension.

As a result, the underwear is less likely to be pushed down by body movement or muscle shape. Instead, it naturally settles into a stable, low-rise position. That is the essence of iSwim’s low-rise yet stay-put cut.

From the 2017 transformation to the 2021 refinement, every subtle adjustment has been made to let sensuality feel more secure.

Sexy isn’t exposure — it’s precision that fits.

Cutting Optimization FAQ

When did iSwim begin using the redesigned cut?

iSwim began refining its patterns in 2016 and officially introduced the redesigned back-piece cut in 2017. The structure was further finalized on June 1, 2021, and has since been applied to most underwear and swimwear styles.

What was changed in the cutting optimization?

The main changes include adjustments to the hip-line and waistline proportions, improved balance between the seat and leg openings, greater back-piece stability, and refined angles and widths for selected thong and partial-coverage cuts.

Why does the redesigned cut look almost the same?

Many of the refinements involve proportions, angles, and tension distribution rather than obvious visual changes. The differences are therefore more noticeable in fit, stability, support, and wearing comfort.

Why is the redesigned low-rise cut less likely to slide down?

By recalculating the balance between the hip curve, seat line, and leg openings, the fabric can create a more stable natural tension against the body. This helps reduce shifting caused by body movement and muscle shape.

Should ultra-low-rise styles be pulled higher on the body?

No. Ultra-low-rise styles are designed to sit naturally at a lower position. Pulling the waistband too high may alter the intended tension, coverage, and overall proportions of the cut.

Which back-piece styles have received cutting optimization?

Various styles including F, B, J, H, A, C, T, N, and Y have received refinements. The specific changes vary by style, including reduced pressure, improved stability, less fabric bunching, and adjusted thong angles or proportions.

Does cutting optimization change the original appearance of a style?

In most cases, the original design character remains the same. The refinements focus mainly on structure and wearing proportions, so the improvements are usually felt more in actual wear than seen as major visual changes.

Is the optimized cut only suitable for fuller or more lifted buttocks?

No. Some refinements do improve support for fuller or more lifted buttocks, but the overall goal is to provide more stable fit and comfort across different body shapes, especially in low-rise and minimal-coverage designs.
